If you’re a young professional (40 or under) wondering whether you’ll ever be able to afford a home in Greater Boston, you’re not alone.
Massachusetts’ housing crisis has pushed homeownership increasingly out of reach. Last year, the median single-family home price surpassed $1 million for the first time, leaving many young professionals and families questioning whether they can afford to put down roots here.
Join YDMA and the Charles River Chamber’s Young Professionals Group for a town hall-style conversation with Congressman Jake Auchincloss, one of Congress’ leading voices on housing policy. He’ll discuss why housing has become so unaffordable, what can be done about it and how we can make homeownership more attainable for the next generation.
