MassDems Convention 2026

What is it?

The Massachusetts Democratic Party's 2026 Nominating Convention, a two-day program where delegates will hear from candidates for statewide office as they compete to qualify for a spot on the September 2026 Democratic Primary ballot.​​

Friday, May 29th at 6:30 PM to Saturday, May 30th at 3:00 PM

Why Should I Go to Convention?

Delegates will vote to select who will receive the endorsement of the Massachusetts Democratic Party and who will qualify to appear on the September 2026 Democratic Primary Ballot. 

All attendees have a chance to meet with candidates, officials, advocates, and party leaders to strategize around upcoming elections.

How Do I Get Involved?

Run for Delegate at Your Local Caucus

The best way to attend Convention is to run for delegate at a caucus hosted by your local Democratic Town or Ward Committee.

Caucuses are being held in-person between Thursday, February 19th and Sunday, March 22nd.

Apply to be an Add-On Delegate

If you are not elected to be a delegate at your local caucus, there are a limited number of add-on seats available to ensure a Convention representative of all Massachusetts Democrats.

Apply for the BluePrint Program

If you are a student ages 17-22, in addition to seeking a delegate position you should also apply to BluePrint, the Massachusetts Democratic Party's 2026 Youth Leadership Institute.
